A language exchange community is where a group of persons who speak different languages come together to help each other to learn the other’s language. Simply put, if A speaks English, and B speaks Korean, they come together and teach the other their language.

This method is highly effective as you will get one-on-one tutoring from a Korean native and you will also build friendships and strengthen bonds. It is also a great way to practice having conversations in Korean and it helps to keep you both motivated.

GETTING INTO KOREAN ENTERTAINMENT

Korean entertainment has taken the international market by storm. From K-pop to K-dramas, the international market has taken a real liking to Korean culture and so should you. While providing entertainment, they can teach you a lot about Korean culture and help you to build on your vocabulary.

Incorporating technology into learning Korean is a great idea. Online Korean language classes are not only great because they take place outside of a classroom and in the comfort of your own home. They allow you to learn at your own pace and it won’t interrupt your daily schedule as much.

GOING TO KOREA

It may seem a bit crazy to up and go to Korea just to learn a language but this can prove to be a life-changing and fun experience for you. If you can afford to, fully immerse yourself into the culture and learn more and more Korean daily. There are also other ways to immerse yourself into Korean without spending as much money. One way is by finding a student exchange program where you can go study at a Korean university under a scholarship. You can also apply to transfer to an office in Korea if the company you are employed at has ties with the country.

So, as you can see, learning Korean does not have to take place only in the classroom. Once you are able to commit to an alternative method, you will become fluent in no time!
